CareerU® Rewarding Experiences Assessment

If you are interested in scheduling a career counseling appointment in person, or at-a-distance, this assessment exercise will be extremely valuable to the counselor in understanding your skills, values, interests, and possibly your 'life's work.' This assessment is not 'stand-alone,' and is only designed to work in conjunction with a counseling appointment. It should take you approximately 30-60 minutes to complete.

Directions: Think back, throughout your life, of rewarding experiences/ activities you've encountered. Make a list on a sheet of paper of these experiences. Create a list of (5), with at least one rewarding experience from childhood. These experiences should be energizing or enjoyable, where you were pleased with the results. Perhaps these experiences are ones you are proud of, yet they need not be important to anyone else. These experiences may come from activities in school, personal, work, community, social, church, volunteer, or leisure environments.

Examples:
